Fun Time Family Time

Hi Yall sorry I have been away. The past week I have spent it with my family. My mom and I spent a few days helping my sister with John Michael, my nephew. Last Saturday, my parents, my sister, and I took John Michael to the aquarium. I know at 3 months he didn't really know what was going on but he did seem to like the pretty colors of the fish.

The New Orleans's aquarium wasn't only John Michael's first time but also my dad's. The boys had fun!
Any time my family and I are in New Orleans, which we is a lot now because my sister and her husband live there, it is our tradition to go to Cafe du Monde`. I grew up eating beignets there. Hot, lightly fried dough covered in powdered sugar is to die for. If the wind is blowing just right, it is inevitable that we will have powdered sugar all over us. Haha! My family and I love to wash our beignets down with chocolate milk.
Don't worry I did bring you a souvenir from New Orleans.
Today's gift-
You can enjoy Cafe du Monde` beignets and chicory coffee from the comfort of your home.
Today's question- What is one Christmas tradition you and your family have?
Include your name and email address with your answer.

  2. Every Christmas morning dad and mom will cook a huge Christmas breakfast. Now our kids look forward to going to Nanny's and Papa's every Christmas morning. Theresa Ardillo, tesa39465@aol.com

  3. Love beignets!
Metairie has a lovely local place called "Morning Call." Their beignets and cafe au lait give Cafe du Monde a run for its money. And you don't have to deal with the crowds and tourists.

[Since I live in New Orleans I don't need to be in the give-away :)]

  5. Our family always has a candy making day. We make everything from date nut balls to pralines to rice krispies. Whatever we want to make! This year we are doing it on the Friday before Christmas and have named it "Fat folks Friday". After completing all of this, we always always always read the Christmas story from the bible. Just a way for us to remember what this season is all about. Merry Christmas to everyone!!

  6. I love hearing all of your family traditions. I am extending the chance for the gift to today's (12/19) blog post so you can have double the chance if you post a comment on that blog post too.
